What is claimed is : Device for a rotary-wing vehicle or for a rotary-wing turbine, which device has at least one rotor module with rotary-wing kinematics for at least two kinematic rotor blades connected to a motor generator and rotating on an orbit about an axis of rotation, which rotor blades are subdivided into a plurality of longitudinal sections for receiving in each case at least one actuator integrated in a longitudinal or transverse spar of the rotor blade and have a variable asymmetrical airfoil profile which is adjustable in a revolution of the rotor blade at a diameter of the revolution path freely orientable within an adjustment range with two turning points lying opposite each other on a diameter of the revolution path in at least one longitudinal section of the rotor blade with a length in such a manner that the suction side (-) and the pressure side (+) of the asymmetrical blade profile changes from the outside to the inside of the orbit by means of the rotary blade kinematics at the turning points or vice versa and the variable blade profile of the rotor blade in a transition position at the turning points temporarily has a symmetrical blade profile oriented with its profile chord tangential to the orbital path, the device being designed, in the case of the design on the rotary-wing vehicle, in such a way that the diameter with the turning points on the rotor module can be aligned in the at least one longitudinal section of the rotor blades with the length transverse to the direction of travel so that the suction side (-) of the asymmetrical airfoil is oriented in the direction of travel in both halves of the orbital path and a thrust force acting in the direction of travel results from the lift force generated on the asymmetrical airfoil, and wherein, in the case of the design on the rotary blade turbine, the device is designed in such a way that the diameter with the turning points in all longitudinal sections of the rotor blade can be aligned orthogonally to the flow, so that the suction side of the asymmetrical airfoil can be oriented to the lee side in both halves of the orbital path and a tangential drive force for the rotary-wing turbine results from the lift force generated by the asymmetrical airfoil. #resmonocopter #aviation #aerospace #research #fluiddynamics #electricflight #aerodynamics #advancedairmobility #futureofmobility #theländ #notforeverybody www.res-institute.com

This brand new rotary wing aircraft design shows a new kind of aircraft showing a drop shaped fuselage, which is surrounded by one box shaped rotor, rotating around a central axis of rotation. The horizontal part of the rotor is subdivided in an upper and a lower level each of which produces lift. The vertical part of the rotor is aligned parallel to the axis of rotation and acts as propeller. As shown in the video, from hovering the suction side of the three part rotor blade can be directed in any desired direction of flight. The central part of the three-part rotor blade is a load bearing spar and an abutment for the movable nose and trailing edge sections of the three part profile. When the airspeed exceeds the circumferential speed however, then - unlike what is shown in the video - the rotor blade of the propeller will swivel into a flag position. In both halves of the orbit the nose segment than will point in the direction of flight and the chord of the symmetric wing profile will be aligned to the respective direction incident flow. Extra thrust in this case ha to be provided by propellers or turbines to reach speeds of flight beyond 100 mph. With hybrid propulsion provided by additional thrust together with the described blade kinematic this regional aircraft is capable of travelling at speeds of 200 mph and beyond. Following considerations were crucial to the design of the aircraft : A rotating wing generates much more lift than a rigid wing. The central part of a three-part wing section can be designed as a supporting spar rigidly connected to a central axis of rotation and serving as an abutment for a pivotable nose segment as well as for a pivotable trailing edge segment. The following considerations went into the design of the aircraft : A rotating wing generates much more lift than a rigid wing. The central part of a three-part wing section can be designed as a supporting spar rigidly connected to a central axis of rotation and serving as an abutment for a pivotable nose segment as well as for a pivotable trailing edge segment. Since the future of flight will be electric, electric motors are integrated into the center spar of the rotor blades to enable a variable suction side of the asymmetric wing profile. The fuselage is teardrop-shaped and can be opened extensively on the starboard and port sides to facilitate passenger boarding and cargo loading and to eliminate the need for a center aisle. The vertical take-off aircraft has a hybrid propulsion concept with a rotor for vertical take-off and a propeller arrangement at the tail for an operating speed of more than 300 km/h. With the center section of the bracket-shaped rotor blades, the aircraft can hold its position very precisely in hover flight and accelerate from hover flight in any direction. The part of the rotor blade that connects the upper with the lower radial rotor acts as a propeller. Here, the chord of the asymmetric wing profile can be aligned to the inflow within certain limits. The direction of the inflow is determined by the orbital speed as well as by the speed of flight. Out of hovering the helicopter can be accelerated in any desired direction. The vertical section of the rotor blade therefore has the function of a propeller. Thrust in direction of travel can be derived from the uplift of the asymmetrical profile.
