The wind turbine with a height of 600 m and diameter of 200 m needs more than one minute for one rotation. At two positions aligned to the wind direction, the suction side of the rotor blade changes from the inner side in the windward rotation to the outer side in the leeward rotation. Only a small adjustment force is required for the change of the suction side in the range of these adjustment positions, which can also be referred to as the vane position. Since the pitch change takes place over a period of several seconds, there is no abrupt load change on the rotor blade, as is known and feared with the Darrieus rotor, but load peaks are reduced over the time required for the pitch change itself. This results in smooth and harmonious rotor operation. This three-part rotor blade was specially developed for water turbines #reshydropower and has a step-rest gear, whereby elegantly the suction side of the rotor blade is in each case in the vane position aligned with the flow. Therefore, the electric motor for the step-rest gear can be dimensioned in such a way that it can be integrated in the middle, immovable blade segment, arranged in sections. A total of ten electrically driven propellers stream the leading edge of the wing and are adjustable in any direction due to a new type of electric machine. The nose segment and the trailing edge segment of the wing can be pivoted relative to a supporting center segment in such a way that the lift of the variable wing profile can be varied according to the situation by means of a gear integrated into the center wing segment with a transmission ratio of about 1:60.
