In the take-off phase, the two annular blades of the variable-pitch propeller - the yellow and the red - generate thrust in the direction of travel and flight respectively, while in flight, when the design speed is reached, only the largest red annular blade generates thrust in the direction of flight.

#towhomitmayconcern : Patent granted for a new kind of turbofan engine ! https://lnkd.in/dnKrxNz https://lnkd.in/dyvWwXj #resturbofanengine2 The invention relates to a new kind of turbofan engine, comprising a smaller and a bigger propeller. Each of the propellers has at least one outer ring shaped air foil which rotates together with the radial propeller blades. One of the two ring-shaped air foils acts as a guide vane for the upstream-located second ring-shaped air foil. There are several embodiments of the invention shown in the German patent document. Shown here are two counter rotating propellers which act together in such a way that the smaller yellow propeller is a guide vane for the larger red propeller. In the takeoff phase of an airplane, both propellers will create thrust in the direction of flight and once the airplane has reached its operational speed, only the larger red ring wing will create thrust in flight direction. #aerospace #technology #engineering #innovation #lightweight #aviation #manufacturing #automation #industry #composites #sustainabledevelopment #sustainable #aviation #mobility #futureofmobility #aircraft #thefutureiselecric #aerodynamics #aam #uam #evtol #helicopter #electricaircraft #mechanical #mathematics #aeronautics #technology #science www.res-institute.com

RES - Turbofan Engine 6

The animation shows a small RES-Airbus, which is designed for future regional air traffic and can accommodate up to twenty passengers. Two annular, counter-rotating, electrically driven wings are arranged aft exactly at the point where the laminar flow around the spindle-shaped fuselage breaks. The two different sized annular wings form a stage to generate torque for the propeller and thrust in the direction of flight. The suction sides of the annular wings are each oriented towards the fuselage. The angle of attack of the blades of the radial rotor is adjustable.

RES - Biturbine 1

This ship thruster operates electrically in two directions - simply by changing the direction of rotation of the rotor. The staircase sequence of three circular vanes acts as a bidirectional turbine. This system constitutes a significant simplification compared to the state of the art, where two separate thrusters are used to operate in both directions.

RES - Cascaded Turbine 1

The cascaded turbine is equipped with fixed annular guide vanes to influence the inlet of circular blades. The circular blade of the ring-shaped rotor is thus struck at an inclined angle to the axis of rotation, so that it provides thrust in the direction of flight. The cascaded turbine has a ring blade fan and several successive stages as a secondary modules. The airplane has a new maneuvering system by changing the distance between nose and tail sided hinges the angle of attack changes in opposite directions at front and rear wings to enable the aircraft to maneuver accurately.
